College Top 25: The final rankings

Another magical college baseball season is in the books, and history was made in Omaha as the Vanderbilt Commodores went 5-2 in the College World Series on the way to the program's first national title. The 'Dores headline the final Perfect Game College Top 25 rankings for the 2014 college baseball season.

While Vanderbilt leads the way, national runner-up Virginia, which spent much of the regular season atop the rankings, finishes No. 2, while national semifinalists Texas and Ole Miss finish the season at No's 3 and 4, respectively, with TCU at No. 5.

Fellow CWS teams Louisville, UC Irvine and Texas Tech end the year at No's 7, 8, and 9, respectively, while Louisiana-Lafayette, which entered the postseason at No. 1, ends the year at No. 6, with Oregon State ending the year at No. 10 despite bowing out in NCAA Regional action.

The overall conference tally is as follows: SEC (5), ACC (4), Big 12 (4), Pac-12 (3), Big West (2), American Athletic (2), Big Ten (1), Atlantic Sun (1), Sun Belt (1), Colonial Athletic (1) and WCC (1).
