Friday Recap | Saturday Recap | College/Draft Chat Tuesday, April 14

It wasn't an easy week to make sense of the Top 25 rankings. The teams at the top were fairly easy to determine based on what happened between last week and now, but the teams ranked 14 through 21 went either 1-2, 2-2 or 2-3. That was good news for Southern California, who went 1-3 on the week, with those three losses coming to No. 5 UCLA over the weekend and No. 10 UC Santa Barbara mid-week. The Trojans essentially get a mulligan, dropping only one spot in the rankings for the simple fact that no one else deserved to move ahead of them outside of the red-hot Illini.

Vanderbilt also could have suffered a worse fate than falling from the No. 3 position to No. 9, but it's hard to point too much blame on their team for their Friday collapse after Walker Buehler delivered an outing almost as impressive as Carson Fulmer's on Thursday. Florida State also got off easy after falling five spots in the ranking with a 1-4 week and a weekend sweep at the hands of Notre Dame.

South Carolina did not fare as well, being swept by No. 7 Florida and being pushed out of the Top 25. Houston also fell out of the rankings. With those two moving out a pair of teams from Missouri move in: Missouri State and Missouri. Missouri State is coming off of a sweep of Evansville after taking two of three from Dallas Baptist last weekend, while Mizzou took their series from Tennessee, which marks the fourth (of five) time they've done so in SEC play.

In addition, Perfect Game's new college baseball presence over the airwaves kicks off this evening as Mike Ferrin and Mike Rooney will host the new radio program, This Week in College Baseball with Perfect Game. The program will go from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. eastern time on SiriusXM channel 91, SiriusXM College Sports Nation.
