(June 15, Cedar Rapids, Iowa)
Perfect Game and Nike Baseball announced a partnership agreement today in support of amateur baseball. As part of the agreement, Nike Baseball will be Perfect Game’s exclusive performance footwear and apparel partner for the National and Junior National Showcases at Jet Blue Park in Fort Myers, Florida; the 16 and under and 17 and under World Wood Bat National Championship held at the new LakePoint Sporting Community in Emerson, Georgia; and the All-American Classic that takes place at Petco Park in San Diego, California on August 10, 2014.

At these events, participating players will have the opportunity to experience and debut Nike’s latest baseball footwear and apparel innovations.

We are thrilled to be aligned with Nike,” said Perfect Game Founder, Jerry Ford. “This new partnership will allow us to share their brand’s most innovative products with our elite players. We at Perfect Game continually strive to provide our athletes with the best formats to showcase their skills, and this ensures we can do that while also helping to grow the game of baseball.”

Perfect Game was a great experience,” added Angels outfielder and two-time All-Star Mike Trout. “I was able to compete with players at an elite level and it gave me a chance to develop on and off the field. I met some incredible people and am definitely thankful for the opportunity.”

Perfect Game is devoted to furthering the development and career of talented amateur baseball players. To that end, Perfect Game produces the very highest national level individual player showcases and team tournaments all over the United States. These events have proven invaluable to the college coaching community and professional baseball, as they can scout a large population of talented ball players all in one location and through Perfect Game’s digital assets.

Perfect Game’s annual All-American Classic enters its twelfth year and features fifty of the game’s brightest future stars. The game is televised live on MLB Network. Many of Nike Baseball’s professional players have participated in previous All-American Classics, including the likes of Andrew McCutchen, Matt Harvey, and Jayson Heyward to name a few.
