The updated rankings include the top twenty-five teams in each of the three small school divisions; however, limiting the list to the standard count this week was extremely difficult. There were a solid number of clubs on the outside worthy of inclusion that simply couldn’t be overlooked. As a result, along with the updated Top 25, a special last-team-out gets a special mention - the unofficial 26th team.

The 2024 MLB Draft doesn’t happen for another three months, but it has already drawn a reputation for being a bit light in terms of overall talent compared to years past. The truth is we’re not going to know that answer for at least another five years or so but there are strengths to this class particularly at the top of the draft.

Many of the top teams in each of the three small school divisions are regulars in the Top 25. Rarely, if ever, has there been an edition of the rankings without perennial powers such as Tampa, Colorado Mesa, Southeastern, Georgia Gwinnett or Endicott.
