2016 Summer Collegiate Baseball Content:
Perfect Game/Rawlings Player of the Year: Bret Boswell (Texas)
Perfect Game/Rawlings Team of the Year: Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (Cape Cod League)

With another season of summer collegiate baseball behind us it's time to look at some of the standouts from the numerous leagues scattered across the country. As with every year, it's no easy task whittling down the names, as there are a lot more deserving players that didn't make the cut.

There are three 2016 Perfect Game/Rawlings Summer Collegiate All-America teams listed below as well as an Honorable Mention squad. In addition to one player at each infield position (including catcher) each team also has a designated hitter – which is a way to recognize some of the better hitters that otherwise may have missed the cut – three outfielders, five starters, two relievers and two utility players.

Similar to past years the Cape Cod League led the way with the number of players listed with 11 players making the three All-America teams and the honorable mention list, although only one of those was recognized on the first team. The Northwoods League led the way with four first-teamers and followed the Cape with nine total Summer Collegiate All-Americans. The leagues that follow include the Coastal Plain (6), California (4), West Coast (4), Texas (4), Perfect Game (3), Prospect (3), Great Lakes (3), Hamptons (3), Golden State (3), Jayhawk (2), Atlantic (2), Cal Ripken (2) and Valley (2) leagues.  The New England, Alaska, Futures, Florida, New York, Southern and South Florida collegiate leagues all had one each.

Perfect Game will start to unveil the league-by-league top prospect lists in the coming days. Once the lists are released, the corresponding league reports will follow.
