For as long as Florida has dominated the rankings this year they finally stumble, at one of the worst possible times. While they are still likely to secure a Top 8 National Seed they have less bragging rights among their SEC competitors heading into the tournament, although as the No. 4 seed that may just give the Gators enough fuel to go on a run.

(And it should be noted that they entered last year's SEC Tournament as the No. 4 seed before winning it.)

The decision for the new No. 1 team came down to two programs: Texas A&M and Mississippi State. Without a doubt the Aggies had the tougher draw this weekend, hosting previously sixth-ranked Ole Miss, and under "normal" circumstances they would have emerged as the top team since they were next in line. However, Mississippi State swept Arkansas and therefore claimed the SEC outright and enter the SEC Tournament as the No. 1 seed. Therefore, the Bulldogs are Perfect Game's new No. 1 team in the nation.

Four new teams enter the Top 25 this week; Louisiana-Lafayette, Kent State, UC Santa Barbara and Long Beach State.

The rankings will be updated one last time, next Monday, at the conclusions of the conference tournaments heading into the beginning of Regional play.

Speaking of Regional play, congratulations to Alabama State who won their first SWAC championship and join the Ivy League champs, Princeton, as the first teams to be awarded an automatic bid with their conference championship. The MEAC and Patriot League champions will be decided later today.

And further congratulations to the following teams for winning their respective regular season conference championships and as a result will play as the No. 1 seed this coming week:
