College Baseball Chat (5:00 p.m. CST) | Friday Recap | Saturday Recap

We've seen some of the most talented teams in the nation have their share of ups and downs in the early weeks of the season. Perhaps weather has played a part in that, and teams getting healthy in key parts of their rosters has played a role as well. But, whatever the reasons, some erratic performances have caused a lot of shifts in the dynamic of the top 25 rankings. That said, for the second week in a row, the top spot belongs to the same team, and that's the Florida Gators.

The Gators went 4-1 this week, and they took home a series victory over a solid Tennessee squad. Texas Christian is now nipping at their heels, however, as the Horned Frogs continued to build momentum after their impressive Dodgertown Classic performance last weekend. TCU has now won six straight following a sweep over Baylor. But, as LSU continues to rack up victories behind their potent offense, and as Vanderbilt appears to have completely found their footing, this once again appears to be a four horse race for the number one spot in the nation. Last week's number two team, Virginia, will be looking to pull out of a tailspin this week, as they've now lost four straight and fall to number seven. Meanwhile Texas A&M simply keeps winning and stands at 21-0. They continue their march up the rankings to number six.

Entering the fray for the first time this week are the Indiana Hoosiers. Indiana has now won 10 straight games and they're coming off a highly impressive sweep of a previously red hot Cal State Fullerton team. Dropping out is Arkansas, a team that struggled through a tough weekend against the Vanderbilt Commodores.
