2017 Top Prospects

Austin Gardner  OF - 2017 - Fayetteville, GA
Alabama State

Garnder has a highly athletic frame with tools to match, turning in the top 60 yard dash time at 6.58 and an impressive arm from the outfield up to 91 mph with carry to the bag. He matched that at the plate during batting practice with impressive power potential and bat speed. He closed out the last game as well on the mound with a short, compact delivery and a fastball that sat 88-90 mph with feel for his slider.

Sam Praytor  C - 2017 - Helena, AL
Alabama

Praytor, already committed to Alabama, showed impressive arm strength behind the plate up to 79 mph with a strong pop time of 1.84. Showed impressive torque through his lower half with intent and consistent timing through swing. Good bat speed with strength and ability to find the barrel.

Cade Fenton  RHP - 2017 - Prairie Grove, AR
Central Arkansas/Hutchinson CC

Fenton's extremely physical and projectable frame allows for his impressive present stuff to be dreamt on even more. Working 85-88 with a loose arm action, and flashed a sharp, swing-and-miss curveball with 12/6 shape and good depth. He threw strikes consistently and mixed/matched both pitches to keep hitters off balance.

Kenny Rodriguez  OF - 2017 - Tampa, FL
University of Arkansas-Little Rock/Seminole State College of Florida

Kenny Rodriguez showed very loud tools throughout every phase of the weekend. He opened up posting a 6.71 time in the 60 yard dash with a strong arm up to 88 mph with a full arm action and accuracy. He showed good power potential at the plate with a line drive plane and good bat speed, torquing well through his lower half.

Sam Stepp  OF - 2017 - Dalton, GA
Cleveland State CC

Stepp posted an impressive time in the 60 yard dash at 6.77 with athleticism throughout his frame. Showed raw arm strength from the outfield with carry out of the hand and consistent accuracy to the bag. Line drive swing plane with bat speed and ability to make consistent line drive contact.

Bryce Teodosio  OF - 2017 - Simpsonville, SC
Clemson

Teodosio flashed some impressive tools in this event from a highly athletic, highly projectable frame. He ran a 6.73 60 yard dash time, and moved extremely well in the outfield with impressively easy actions to go along with quality arm strength up to 83 MPH, and consistently squared up the ball when hitting with projectable power and easy bat speed.

Jaree Pledger  OF - 2017 - Monroe, GA
Georgia Highlands

Pledger was one of several highly athletic outfielders posting a 6.62 time in the 60 yard dash and a very strong arm up to 88 mph coming clean out of the hand. He showed some twitch in the batter's box as well with quick hands and intent through his swing.

Luis Guerrero  SS - 2017 - Larchmont, NY
Miami-Dade College

Guerrero was impressive across the board in this event by clocking a 6.75 60 yard dash time, showing a high-contact approach when hitting with solid bat speed and strength off the barrel; as well as showing range to both sides in the infield with quick feet and an extremely strong arm, clocking throws up to 89 MPH.

Jake Collum  RHP - 2017 - Cartersville, GA
Georgia Highlands

Collum showed a repeatable delivery on the mound with a short, quick arm action and good extension down the mound. Worked quickly and inside on hitters with a fastball up to 85 mph that showed occasional life. Also showed feel for his curveball and changeup that showed fade.

Brennan Crooms  3B - 2017 - Metter, GA
Georgia College & State

Crooms was another infielder who showed highly athletic overall actions with a 6.86 time in the 60 yard dash and a strong arm from the outfield up to 88 mph. Showed a line drive swing plane with balance at the point of contact and consistently worked up the middle of the field.

Will Evans  C - 2017 - Peachtree City, GA
Birmingham-Southern College

Impressed in the catching workout with a quick transfer and very good footwork with a pop time of 1.81 and 80 mph velo to second base.

Buddy Fultz  2B - 2017 - Alpharetta, GA
Jacksonville State

The Middle Tennessee State Commit impressed with the bat with an aggressive approach with good power potential and showed good feel for the barrel from both sides of the plate

Trevor Higgs  C - 2017 - Douglasville, GA
Uncommitted

Higgs was very good across all facets in this event. He worked up to 86 MPH with his fastball on the mound, downhill with a clean delivery and showed a full complement of off speed pitches. He also popped 2.00 during workouts from behind the plate with an extremely strong arm, and showed very fast hands at the plate with consistent line drive contact to all fields.

Michael Payne  3B - 2017 - Duluth, GA
College of Charleston

Payne possess a strong, durable pitcher's build on the mound and used it well coming downhill and getting in on hitters. He worked from a high 3/4 slot and generated extension, showing a heavy fastball that worked in the low to mid 80's and topped out at 86 mph. He also showed power in batting practice with lift in his swing.

Drew Pepper  2B - 2017 - Fayetteville, GA
Gordon CC

Pepper showed clean defensive up the middle with good balance while on the move and good arm strength. Torqued well through his lower half with good bat speed and intent through his swing to drive the ball in the air.

Pat Pitzer  3B - 2017 - Newnan, GA
Uncommitted

Pitzer showed very impressive power in the batter's box both in game and during batting practice. He drove several balls way out for BP home runs, and continued that in game action by driving several impressive exit velocities including a 98 MPH double. The strength and bat speed combination he possesses are undoubtedly impressive tools.

Austin Slaten  RHP - 2017 - Phenix City, AL
Florida Southwestern State College

Slaten showed impressive projection out on the mound with a long, lean 6-3 frame with plenty of room to fill out. He utilized a quick, clean arm action with extension down the mound. His fastball worked up to 84 mph with arm side life and showed impressive feel for his changeup.


2018 Top Prospects

Logan Cerny  OF - 2018 - Lawrenceville, GA
Troy

Cerny was extremely impressive both offensively and defensively in this event. He's very fluid behind the plate and explodes out to pop 1.95 down to 2nd base with very good arm strength, and also put that arm on display in the outfield (89 MPH) and the infield (86 MPH). He clocked a 6.91 60 yard dash time, and showed continually impressive hitting tools with the bat speed and strength necessary to consistently drive the ball deep.

Ethan Cosper  C - 2018 - Powder Springs, GA
Georgia State

Cosper showed some of the best defensive actions from behind the plate with quick footwork and accuracy to the bag and a pop time of 1.91. He also showed some of the better arm strength from both the outfield and the infield at 88 mph and 85 mph respectively.


2019 Top Prospects

Tyler Chase Wilkerson  OF - 2019 - Douglasville, GA
Uncommitted

Wilkerson opened eyes showing big arm strength from the outfield up to 87 mph and posting a 7.09 time in the 60 yard dash. He matched plane well at the plate with quick hands, generating backspin with a line drive approach to all fields.
