The Aggies have a young position player group and their development will have a large impact on the 2017 season. Freshman Braden Shewmake needs to be highlighted here as his ceiling is in space. Shewmake is a 6-foot-4 lefthanded hitter who runs 6.6 in the 60-yard dash and both his hit tool and defensive chops have a chance to be well above average.

Senior Blake Kopetsky is finally healthy after a trying 2016 and he brings a unique strength and speed combination from the left side. Brigham Hill continues to progress and he gives the Aggies a legitimate Friday night arm in a league where there are a bunch of them.

DII/DIII/NAIA Rankings Update: April 24

Ryan Gallagher of UC Santa Barbara threw a complete game shutout and leads the Gauchos staff into the Top-25 while Tennessee's Christian Moore went 9-for-15 with 4 home runs and 9 RBI.

Well, here we go folks, we have one month left in the regular season and things continue to get more unpredictable on the national landscape. We are seeing some new clubs making statements out west and non-Power 5s on the east coast continuing to jockey for post-season host consideration.
