There’s going to work and then there’s doing what the new Florida International coaching staff has done since being hired and it’s nothing short of amazing. Prior to the hiring of Head Coach Mervyl Melendez the Panthers had a rather sparse list of 2017 commitments, and by sparse I mean none. When you take that perspective and look at what’s now ranked as the No. 1 class in the nation come signing day it makes you appreciate what they’ve done that much more.

DII/DIII/NAIA Rankings Update: April 24
It’s far better to be on a hot streak at the end of the season rather than the beginning of the year. As a result the three teams spotlighted with the latest rankings are in a perfect position for a deep postseason run.

Ryan Gallagher of UC Santa Barbara threw a complete game shutout and leads the Gauchos staff into the Top-25 while Tennessee's Christian Moore went 9-for-15 with 4 home runs and 9 RBI.
