1. Philadelphia Phillies | Kyle Lewis, OF, Mercer
The two names becoming more and more clear for this pick are Lewis and Florida lefthander A.J. Puk, with the Phillies seemingly focused on collegiate players. With a few weeks to go a lot can change yet, and potential money-saver picks could begin to pop up. Lewis brings tremendous upside as a potential middle-of-the-diamond player in center field, though it’s entirely possible he has to move to a corner, with the potential to hit 25-plus home runs annually. 


2. Cincinnati Reds | A.J. Puk, LHP, Florida
If Puk is there at No. 2 he’s likely the pick for Cincinnati, as they value the hard-throwing lefthander more than most. At his best, Puk will show the potential to pitch with a plus-plus fastball, plus slider, and developing changeup, though the inconsistencies of both his stuff and command have caused some to question his ultimate upside. Another possibility here is Puerto Rican shortstop Delvin Perez.


3. Atlanta Braves | Corey Ray, OF, Louisville
The Braves are a bit tough to figure here, as they are heavily in on prep lefty Jason Groome, but may be leaning Corey Ray here, who they’ve been on all spring. Ray would give them another potentially quick-moving college performer who brings above average hit and power tools to the table, though he may be best suited to play left field in pro ball. As stated above, this could be a landing spot for Groome (and possibly his ceiling, as it sits now).


4. Colorado Rockies | Riley Pint, RHP, St. Thomas Aquinas HS (Kan.)
We’ve heard that the Rockies are on pitching, and Riley Pint offers the best pure upside of any prospect in the class, though the risk is extreme. At his best he’ll show three plus or better pitches, and while the command is still quite raw, the developmental trajectory in the past year has been extremely encouraging.


5. Milwaukee Brewers | Delvin Perez, SS, International Baseball Academy (P.R.)
It’s arguably the worst kept secret in the industry that the Brewers are heavy on Perez, and if he doesn't go at No. 2, he likely goes here. The (very) young Puerto Rican is loaded with tools, and while an incredibly long ways away from actualizing them, brings probably the best positional upside of anyone in the class as an athletic defender who can be plus at short, and excellent hitting tools.
